The Big Three Networks
The Netherlands has excellent 4G and 5G coverage country-wide. There are only three companies that actually own the physical cell towers:
- KPNConsistently voted as the best and most reliable network in the Netherlands. Great coverage even in rural areas.
- Odido (formerly T-Mobile)The largest network by number of users. Known for very high 5G speeds in urban areas.
- VodafoneSolid coverage and often offers great package deals if you combine it with Ziggo home internet.
MVNOs (Budget Providers)
Besides the big three, there are dozens of "budget providers" (MVNOs). These companies don't own cell towers, but rent space from KPN, Odido, or Vodafone. They are usually much cheaper and offer more flexible month-to-month contracts. Examples include Simyo (uses KPN), Odido (Own network), and Ben (uses Odido).
